Point being brother, That above one line joke happens at REW a lot for real. Ironically if you realize noone dares to open their mouth in that forum on this subject even to defend Morgan. That is what is so sad. I would rather be among the ones with high opinions than a bunch of sheep that follows a shephard. Ironically, given that stupid non signed Morgan blog comment by a guy (cant put those words in a lady's month) nicknamed "King" on this forum being fundamental Christian Republicans, ironically I am a Turkish American Muslim living in the most Democrat city (Chicago) and somehow I still am a moderator in this forum. Wow... huh.... I can hear another comment in that blog post of Morgan by another unsigned cult member.... They have muslim terrorists there sabotaging REW....

You get the point.

My kool aid references were indeed tied to Jim Jones, who's followers either followed his orders and drank the cyanide laced drink, or were shot if they refused.

A more accurate reference would've been to the Heaven's Gate cult, who thought that their leader was infallible and would lead them to where no one else could take them, but sarcastically offering REW members phenobarbital mixed with vodka would have sounded a bit harsh.

Mert You know very well that my opinions are mine and mine alone, and will be voiced if it's needed. We all agree that what Morgan (or mystery REW staff member) did was wrong, but the way many of you went about exposing it just makes it look like a vendetta. Because of that most will not put much stock into it and now feel his apology is enough. (Which IMO it isn't the person should be named and fired for something like this)

MCHammered, I have voiced the exact same objections on REW and other forums in the past when members got out of hand attacking the person not the idea. There just is no reason that people can't act professional while on a board of supposed professionals.

I was just trying to give a little incite into how you guys are being perceived outside your small group of Morgan haters. If you can't take a little constructive criticism to help improve yourselves and your forum them so be it.

And yes I did sincerely apologize for a rape reference (and meant it). I did not want this to turn into a thread about me or how poor innocent Morgan is always bashed here. I invited her to give an example of an appropriate metaphor which she has not responded to. Taking a chance on alienating a few more feminist out there I will say “How dare you tell me just how violated I feel.” How could you possibly know?

I have attempted to bite my tongue and be civil to all that have posted here. Even the Morgan “Spin Team”. I have sat back and listened while I have been accused of various forms of misconduct after I was the one that was victimized.

PREN I think has had less than 10 threads that Morgan or REW was the topic of (out of over 1,800 threads. All threads that I participated in sighted legitimate complaints (primarily ethic issues). Yet Morgan and his defenders make it sound like all we ever do at PREN is bash Morgan. He is simply NOT accustomed to folks standing up to him plain and simple. Most bullies aren’t.

That is how it is being spun by Morgan and company. Rebuttals by myself and others here that have tried to defend the indefensible or downplaying the seriousness of this crime have been far lest harsh than Morgan’s so called apology to this forum.

This would be a great place to initiate your “constructive criticism”. How did we expose it improperly and how you would have gone about it?

If a bank robber returns the cash and says he is sorry is that enough? (thinking to myself: I hope this metaphor doesn’t anger any robbers or bankers out there). Admittedly I have not been in Law Enforcement since 1984, but I don’t think treatment of criminal acts have changed that much. Have they?

But really guys and gals, this is going to continue to be spun in an attempt to confuse and lose focus. I warned all of you of this early on in the thread. This is and has been Morgan's SOP.

The fact remains that criminal acts occurred and I think HHI Golf Guy is right when he said that we should let the legal system sort it out.

First, what I would have done is construct the screen-shot like you did, showing the IP and blocking out any information you deemed sensitive for others. When I'm around them both, as I was at SES in 2006, I try to convince them both to be civil with one another. In that case I wasn't successful -- but I made the attempt.

What I am saying is that when you refer to newly visiting forum members, referring to them as spies, cronies, cult members, spin control, and kool-aid drinkers -- you're immediately alienating people that might have eventually become your friends. They aren't all "evil" -- yet you treated them all as if they were.

Finally, try and convince everyone to put their name in their signature. I would have done it right away except I could not get into my control panel.

And maybe, if you're in Vegas, arrange for a friendly meeting with real estate people who are going to PubCon in early December.
