No offence Terry I don’t know you and how deep your relationship with Morgan goes. Surrendering evidence arbitrarily would be contrary to advice I have been given.

You mentioned Greg. While I don’t know him but I do know of his reputation and this is not the first time he has appeared in our Forum.

So if you trust Greg and are agreeable I can contact him and see if he wants this hot potato.

Who did I give a password to?????? How could I give a password to an employee when I have not had a client relationship with them for over 15 months????

Why is not that man reported to local authorities by Morgan "as a man of integrity" for internet crimes? Is not that an obstruction of justice????

How can that man still be possibly employed by Morgan?????? AND actually have access to any password of any of REW clients?????

Morgan Carey is either a liar or is guilty of obstruction of justice.

Very interesting thread. For a moment let's assume Morgan or one of his employees or associates did in fact do what has been alleged. What law has been broken?

Are you referring to the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act? If so the value of the information obtained has to be a minimum of $5,000 for conviction. Has there been that much loss?

§ 1030 : AS AMENDED OCT. 11, 1996

If there is not $5000 in loss and it is not the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, what statute applies here? Just curious.

As you posted in section #4 it states, "(4) knowingly and with intent to defraud, accesses a protected computer without authorization, or exceeds authorized access, and by means of such conduct furthers the intended fraud and obtains anything of value, unless the object of the fraud and the thing obtained consists only of the use of the computer and the value of such use is not more than $ 5,000 in any one-year period;"

Has there been a $5,000 loss?
