I feel I need to put in my two cents. I've met Terry, he is a knowledgable and honest guy. He also raises some good points. In your rush to convict Morgan, the evidence presented isn't a whole lot. Anyone can use a proxy to hide their IP address. It does SEEM that he was involved and coincidence that only posts (as you stated) bashing REW have disappeared? Doesn't look good. I'm not a fan of Morgan, nor do I dislike him. He's another guy sticking his nose into the real estate business, trying to make a buck. I've seen the horror stories, and I know one of them is absolutely true. The other, not sure but given the history..probably. As for Terry, trust me, he hates Kool Aid.

For some reason this cracked me up...

What I know from "being around" the forums is Terry will speak his mind and give his blunt opinion and it's usually the opposite of the consensus. Not that he's right ever (j/k

), he's just a devils advocate of sorts is the way I take him, it's good. Seems like an ok dude.

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Hi Jade!

Good to hear you chime in.

I think everyone needs to calm down a bit (myself included).

Time will tell all I guarantee. Maybe it is time to let the Pros sort it out.

I still don’t see any posts linking Morgan’s denial. I’m sure one exists (doesn’t it?

).

Other forum owners/operators are receiving several pages of evidence with a promise from them not to reproduce it in hopes of convincing everyone here of the seriousness of the problem.

Terry is there a forum owner that YOU trust to review the evidence? If so, please tell us here and I will contact them.

But seriously, if you look at the pieces individually, I guess it's easy to see some doubt. Clearly Shaw Communications (The Owner of the IP in question) uses a dynamic IP system, so there isn't anyway to tie the IP directly to Morgan. He could have given his login info to one of a million Canadians who use Morgan's ISP and then instructed them as to what specific threads to delete. It would be the perfect frame.

However, Morgan's complete public silence on the matter, makes me doubt that such a scenario is plausible. Someone who would take the time to make public threats of litigation over copied forum names, and then show up hear and invest hours of time posting defenses of his actions just doesn't strike me as someone who would sit back and be silent if he was being accused of what might be a serious criminal offense. Instead, I would think he would be hear (or somewhere) proclaiming his innocence.

Instead, he's locked himself in his private bunker and is keeping his mouth shut while he and his staff actively monitor ever forum and blog post on the topic. (I know this because I've been getting visitors to my blog from Morgan's ISP who show up via a referral from Morgan's private forum)

Now if I was a juror looking at all that, it would be hard to acquit. Especially when the defense hasn't even attempted to make the "Mert framed me" argument.

You are right there are alot of people in the industry that don't get along, but we are all here for the same reason. Actually I think dont think Jade likes me too much based on comments he has made on other sites about me (my website), but I doubt he would do anything malicious to harm my business?

I have seen some of the evidence that Mack has and being a former Police Officer, I can tell you that it doesn't look good for Morgan. I know in technology its possible to manipulate things, but too many things point back to Morgan and his crew.

1. Why is the IP address that is used to delete threads on PREN identical to the IP Address that Morgan used on October 1st, 2007 to log into my site? Mack had no idea what IP Address Morgan used to log into my site, so I find it far from coincidental that they match?

2. Why are only threads that depict REW, Morgan, and SEO Guy the only threads that were deleted with this IP Address? Coincidental?

3. MERT was a MOD on REW and is a MOD on PREN and his account was used to delete the threads? Coincidental?

So if it wasn't Morgan or one of his crew members, it could be someone that really wants to get back at Morgan pretty badly and is trying to set him up!

Sorry I was just trying to lighten things up...and hey as a fellow Canadian I will say their are 30 million of us who are far to busy eh, to care what dat dare Morgan guy ain't or is doin, capiche eh. Morgan Carey if this is true you are truly a hoser.

In the beginning of this thread, everybody piled on with such animosity and vehemence that I couldn't resist taking the contrary view. I like the contrary position and since I don't get in fights anymore, fighting with words (debate and argument) is the next best thing.

Like you, Greg, I had run all the different potential "conspiracy" scenarios in my head already, knowing that there is no way to completely prove or disprove the allegations without also accepting circumstancial evidence.

In the end, what has been accomplished by this thread?

It shows that everyone loves drama and now ProRealEstateNetwork.com is no longer a "ghost town" of a forum (as one of the regular posters called it earlier). It's now on the map.

For me? I've been on the web since February 1998, helping real estate agents. That's whose side I'm on, including others that help real estate agents, too -- and that includes both forums and real estate web site developers.
