H'wood's 9/11 Idiot Brigade
Ok folks,
This really takes the prize for greed and lunacy...
SOME celebrities don't know when to keep their traps shut - like Charlie Sheen and Rosie O'Donnell, who are throwing their weight behind the twisted theory that the United States government was behind the 9/11 terror attacks.
You won't believe it but they are getting ready to promote this Theory Worldwide...
http://www.nypost.com/seven/03222007...ix/pagesix.htm
Don't you agree that now this will even make the U.S. a bigger target when the extreme radicals get behind this theory...Sheen, Cuban and all their other idiot friends should be asked to leave the U.S for promoting such a thing don't you agree?

Liberal Elitists
Al,
Thanks for the heads up on this.
Isn’t it amazing that individuals that owe this great country so much would even consider such an undertaking?
This will only spread more hate and distrust throughout the Muslim world and further embolden those that would do us harm.
The net result will mean more terror attacks, more innocent lives lost, and not to mention more US Soldiers coming home in body bags.
I hope that these Liberal Elitists will reconsider and understand they will have blood on their hands should they proceed.

Hey guys,
The reason why I live in this country for half my life (the first half was in Turkey) is the exact fact that anyone can say any opinions they have without the fear of prosecution.
Here is a few crazy conspiracy theory based facts.
1) Every single Middle Eastern country leader (even Iran) and MiddleEastern-American advisor to Bush and every US government agency advised him against attacking Iraq before the invasion because Iraq, being a military tribal dictatorship of a minority population over a majority population, could not afford crazy religious groups to walk around its land and the whole thing did not make any sense.
2) Did not the oil companies and every other company the vice president was in the board of directors of break the all time profit records and growth of any US company in history of US economy during this war)?
3) Based on those facts as crazy as they sound, it is really not that far fetched. And even if it is far fetched if you persecute a single American citizen for voicing his or her beliefs, you have lost the war against terrorism already.

Mert,
I think that you truly missed the point...
I totally believe in Freedom of speech! And yes I have done my 6 years in our Military to show my support for that. My point is we DO NOT need any more fuel for the radicals to have more reasons to blow up innocent men, women and children... IMHO

"They should be asked to leave the U.S. & we should boycott their movies & business's?"
This is what I was reacting to. I guess it was a joke but the NY Times article seemed slightly on the biased side as he compares Sheen to his father who also seemed to follow and act on his own beliefs in the past. Trust me the terrorists already have all the propoganda they need in the person of Bush .

Mert,
I too believe in free speech. However “Free Speech” should be used responsibly and should NOT be used in any instance that can cause harm. For example yelling “Fire” in a crowed theater can cause harm to the public and is a prosecutable offence.
What these individuals propose to do would cause more hate and dissention against the US in the Middle East and ultimately more casualties of the Soldiers that ensure even these idiots have the right of free speech. As a Father of 3 Former Marines (two that are subject to re-call) I find this potentially harmful and distasteful.
Although what they are planning to do borders on treason IMHO, Al is suggesting a boycott. A Boycott would be a form of “Freedom of Speech”.
You and I have had a spirited exchange via IM about the US invasion of Iraq. We both have our views and they are slanted towards our heritage and religious beliefs. I’ve enjoyed these exchanges and hope to continue them as I am always looking for more view points and fresh perspectives. However, our involvement in Iraq is really NOT the subject of this thread.
This thread is about several EXTREMELY successful individuals screaming “Fire!” in a crowded theater.
Just my 2¢,
~VegasMack

Hi Mack,
I respect any soldier willing to give his life for his/her citizens. 9/11 - Conspiracy - Oil price conspiracy - Iraq. It is sort of a parallel drawn by every Hollywood actor - Charlie Sheen, Tim Robbins, etc. I mean the conspiracy and the war are always held in the same basket.
Also in terms of any discussion, Blind faith in one's leaders is one thing I don't believe in. When someone criticizes a leader it does not mean s/he criticizes soldiers. While I believe in the economic philosophies of the republican party, censorship in any sort and form is something I cannot tolerate. That same censorship has caused the decline of the Middle East and hatred of the people that our soldiers are dying against everyday.
May be the example of free speech shall set an example to these people to debate their own leaders and their own blind faith to the religion that is laid out for them. While I am a Muslim on paper my understanding of Islam 180 degrees different than these fundamentalist lunes. On the other hand, you should never try to quiet someone or call them traitors for his/her belief of a conspiracy. By quieting someone, you are no different than a British loyalist in the independence war of America. Remember the tune? How dare you question the king's authority and put it on paper calling it "common sense" Thomas Paine? The British will come and burn our village, and kill our sons because of your writings. Death to Thomas Paine the traitor!!! .
As a new parent I understand your fears. But those fears should not be used to kill the very thing our soldiers are fighting for overseas. And that one thing is the hardest achieved freedom of all. Trust me, I know. I come from a land that is full of people who try to shut up others who don't use the national line by killing them in the middle of the street.
