That’s a great question Neal.

Yahoo recently changed up their algorithm (again ) and there is no real rhyme or reason to it that I have seen yet.

I am personally going to leave my sites alone (especially those that rank in Google) and wait until they come up with an algorithm the yields more relevant search results.
