Thanks for the heads up. I downloaded Expression Web Designer to see what it's all about. After a 10 minute quick tour I would say it has some neet things including HTML validation, CS checker, some cool dynamic buttons, HTML Optimizer, and more. I haven't tried the HTML Optimizer yet - after all, it is a Microsoft product - it may add a hundred lines of code or so

One thing that I liked right away is that in the Design pane it outlines your DIV's.On top of the Design pane it lists the DIV's and any tags that you click on in the pane. When you click on one of the above DIV's it highlights that section. That top area also provides drop down selections to modify the tags and attributes.

There are plenty of bells and whistles regarding CSS.

My first impression is, "This looks neat". But my next question is, "Do I need this?" Right now I'm comfortable coding by hand using notepad. I guess the real test (for me) will be starting with a blank page and using Expression Design to lay out a new page design.

It looks promising. I'm going to give it a try.
