I am not aware of any system that you could “own”. You can hire a developer to do a custom job but you will learn that gets VERY expensive and time consuming.

Open Realty has some code that you can set up the search portion of an IDX/MLS but has no backend capabilities that I am aware of. Even with the code you will need to have the IDX mapped unless you have the expertise to do it yourself. But that is only part of the puzzle. The easy part!

Unless you are prepared to spend many thousands of dollars to get a custom package the hosting packages such as that offered by REW and others is really all that is available as far as I know.
